How The Governing Body Interprets Matt. 24:45-47
Here is an example of what I mean:
July 15, 2010 WT page 22, 23:
Would all anointed Christians “shine”? In a sense, yes, for all Christians would participate in preaching, in disciple making, and in building one another up at meetings. Anointed ones would set the example. (Zech. 8:23) In addition to this, however, deep things were to be revealed during the time of the end. The very prophecy Daniel recorded was “sealed up” until that time. (Dan. 12:9) How and through whom would the spirit search into these deep things?
When the time comes to clarify a spiritual matter in our day, holy spirit helps responsible representatives of “the faithful and discreet slave” at world headquarters to discern deep truths that were not previously understood. (Matt. 24:45; 1 Cor. 2:13) The Governing Body as a whole considers adjusted explanations. (Acts 15:6) WHAT THEY [GOVERNING BODY] LEARN, THEY PUBLISH FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL. (Matt.10:27) As time goes on, further clarifications may be needed, and these too are honestly explained."
So, when "the time comes to clarify a spiritual matter in our day, holy spirit helps ..." who???
No, not just anyone on earth. No, not even the Faithful & Discreet Slave, nooooooo but "holy spirit" only helps certain "responsible representatives" of the F&DS, namely the Governing Body, and no one else. Its only these few men on earth (who are admittedly NOT inspired) that the "holy spirit" works with. "Holy spirit" helps only the Governing Body to "discern deep truths that were not previously understood." And yet we must always remember, they are NOT inspired. That way, we don't expect too much (accuracy) from them.
That's my point.
Which leads me to this "jewel" of a comment from the G.B. on how they actually "see" the supposed "anointed," or supposed Faithful & Discreet Slave of Matt. 24:45-47 in JW congregations around the world:
"We thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know. The Governing Body does not keep a list of all partakers, for it does not maintain a global network of anointed ones." - Question From Readers, w2011 8/15 p. 22
