Basic Truths #3, #4, and #5: Jesus' Position With God

Truth #3. Christ is God's Son and is subservient to Him; thus not part of Trinity Godhead

Proof Texts:
Matthew 3:17; John 14:28; John 20:17; 1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Corinthians 15:28

Truth #4. Christ was first of God's creations

Proof Texts:
Colossians 1:15; Revelation 3:14

Truth #5. Christ set example for all to follow

Proof Texts:
John 13:15; 1 Peter 2:21

The person we know as Jesus, indeed had a pre-human, heavenly existence as the "firstborn" of all of God's Creation. In this way, Jesus (also known as the "Word [Greek: Logos] of God" in heaven) became the "only-begotten" Son of God. This becomes a unique distinction that only he holds in the Universe. This means Jehovah Himself, "produced" him as a spirit creature in the heavens, long before all others. Thus, Jehovah, as Supreme Life-Giver created "The Word," gave him life, and allowed him bring everything else, all creation, into existence, under Jehovah's Direction. As God's "Firstborn," the one we know as Jesus, became the first to be called the “Son of God,” since he has always exhibited all of Jehovah's Grand Qualities, in perfect balance. -- See John 1:14; 1 John 4:9; Colossians 1:15, 16; Proverbs 8:22-31; Hebrews 1:3.

However, many today are not aware of the fact that Jesus himself, was at one time appointed to be an "apostle" of God or envoy sent by God, as shown at Hebrews 3:1. Such a thought completely proves, Jesus is clearly NOT God Himself, nor has he ever assumed such a role or taught such.

Even 2000 years since the time Jesus walked the earth, he continues to serve as the very finest example for all to follow, closely. This fact certainly behooves us all, to do all in our power, to gain and maintain Jesus’ mindset on all things.

(1 Peter 2:21) In fact, to this [course] YOU were called, because even Christ suffered for YOU, leaving YOU a model for YOU to follow his steps closely.

It is interesting to note the word “Christ” actually means, “anointed one.” This means, anyone who has been anointed by God, could properly be referred to as a “christ,” wherein they are appointed to serve God in a particular capacity. Such was the case with Moses. (Hebrews 11:26) In such a capacity, any who are "anointed" of God, shall always strive to "conquer" in this world, Satan's world, and can thus be viewed (when they completely "conquer") as Jehovah God’s "son" in the final sense, in imitation of Jesus. -- See John 16:33; Romans 1:4; Revelation 3:21; Revelation 12:11; Revelation 21:7.

As God's Word clearly shows, Jesus was never considered "equal" in any way to Jehovah God. For example, this is brought out for us in Philippians 2:5-9 which says:

5 Keep this mental attitude in YOU that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. 7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and came to be in the likeness of men. 8 More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name,

So Jesus, since his resurrection has obtained a very exalted position with His Heavenly Father, the highest position given anyone in fact, far above any other creature. -- Hebrews 1:3, 4

But even at his resurrection, Jesus is still under Jehovah's Authority. All of this means of course, the teaching of the "trinity," (which says Jesus is really God Almighty, and mysteriously manifested through 3 persons, holy spirit, the Son and Father) though a central doctrine taught by many religions today, still is a false teaching that reproaches God's Position and Authority in heaven.

As we know, the word "Trinity" itself, actually does not appear anywhere in the Bible at all, nor is the teaching itself ever suggested in God's Word. Instead this false teaching actually finds its origin in pagan teachings taught before the flood of Noah’s day.
